Honda VF750C Magna "1999 Magna"

I purchased this red Magna in 1999 after returning from an ex-pat job in the Philippines.

It was a fun bike but was ridden very little. In 2000, we bought a C5 Corvette convertible and that made it a bit tough to figure out which "ride" to take out on the beautiful Arizona days.

One of our son's classmates in Manila came to Arizona to attend to college. He needed a set of wheels so I sold him my 1999 Magna.

When it came time to deliver the bike to Jussi in Prescott, Az, my wife followed me in "her" Corvette . (That's the right spelling for Jussi - He was from Finland and his name is pronounced Ucy, )

While sitting at a stop light on one of the four lane roads  near Prescott , some young fella pulled up beside me in his black TransAm.  He was sitting beside me racing his engine (car sounded really good).

So being the old Grandfatherly type that I am, when the light turned green, the TransAm tried to shoot out and leave me behind.  By the time the Magna was ready to go into third gear, looking in my rear view mirror, that TransAm was beginning to look like it was sitting still and Grandma was about half way between me and the TransAm.

I would love to have seen that guys face when he figured out that he had just gotten beat off the line by Grandpa and Grandma, all at one time.

Jussi rode the 1999 Magna until he graduated and move back to South East Asia.

I mention this just to point out that the Magna is a fine running small bike.  You should not be racing young kids on the streets.
